One match at a time.
Be the first to empty your hand. Match suits and ranks, use your power cards, and leave yourself a legal finish.
These are the default rules. Some tables use different house rules, including pickup stacking and finishing on a power card. Open Rules at your table to check the settings in play.
Your first turn
Choose your table
Play solo against 1–3 AI opponents, or choose Pass & Play or an online room for 2–8 players. The default starting hand is five cards.
Match a card
On an ordinary turn, match the active suit or the top card’s rank. A Five of Hearts can be followed by another Heart or another Five. Eights and Jokers have special rules.
Draw when you need to
Draw one card. You may play that newly drawn card if it is legal, or choose Keep & end turn. You cannot play a different card from your hand after drawing.

Know your hand
Seven cards that change the round.

Eight · Choose a suit
Wild on an ordinary turn. Choose Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs or Spades for the next active suit. An Eight cannot cancel a pickup penalty.

Two · Pick up two
Add two cards to the next player’s pickup. With stacking on, a Two can follow either a Two or Joker during a pickup, regardless of suit.

Joker · Pick up five
Add five cards to a pickup. A Joker is legal on an ordinary turn. When no pickup is pending, any card may follow it. With stacking on, it can also stack on a Two or Joker.

Ace · Cancel a pickup
Cancel the entire pending pickup, regardless of suit. On an ordinary turn, an Ace must match the active suit or rank.

Seven · Skip
Skip the next player. With two players, you take another turn.

King · Play again
Keep the turn. Your next card must still be a legal play, so plan the pair before you put the King down.

Jack · Change the order
With three or more players, choose to reverse direction for the following turns, or pass backwards once before the original direction resumes. With two players, a Jack lets you play again.
Facing a pickup? Counter with a legal Two, Joker or Ace, or pick up the required cards. Paying the penalty ends your turn. Ordinary matching cards and Eights do not avoid the pickup.
The last move matters
Save a finishing card.
Under the default rules, you cannot finish on an Ace, Two, Seven, Eight, Jack, King or Joker. If you play one as your last card, you draw a replacement.
These ranks can finish the round when legally played:
A useful combination
A King keeps your turn. If you have a legal ordinary card to follow it, you can play that card next and finish.
The guided practice includes a King combination, alongside matching, drawing and choosing a suit with an Eight.
